Android by Google

Google has already confirmed that Android 6.0 Marshmallow will soon come to the HTC-built Nexus 9, meaning those wanting a taste of the new OS real quick need only to grab the vanilla Android device. And it's easier to do it now with the tablet's sticker price down to $347 at Amazon.

From its current price tag of $480 at the Google Play Store, the 8.9-inch Nexus 9 is already a good buy packing a mix of high-end specs inside and out plus the pure power that Android is, BGR said in a report. Out of the box, buyers will get the Nexus 9 rocking Lollipop 5.1.1 but as promised by Google all its 2014 and 2013 Nexus devices will soon jump to Marshmallow, the HTC tab including.

Apart from chewing in the best that Android can offer, the Nexus 9 is nothing short of impressive, hardware-wise. The muscle and speed source is the Tegra K1 NVIDIA 64-bit processor that spins away at top speed of 2.3GHz, which HTC supported with 2GB of RAM or the same provision found with the iPad Mini 4 and iPad Air from Apple.

This suggests that 2014 Android tablet remains at par with its iOS 9 counterparts and with the Marshmallow update all but given, the former is indeed a force to reckon with.

Still on the hardware tape, the Nexus 9 impresses further as a multi-functional gadget with an 8-megapixel main shooter and a pair of front-blasting stereo speakers with almost all the connectivity options presently available.

But what really makes the Google tab irresistible at the moment is Amazon's limited time offer that gears up the Nexus 9 ready to ship out for only $347. The deal, which Amazon will deliver at no cost, will unbox a white Google Nexus 9 slate with 32GB of on-board memory, BGR said.
