Samsung Galaxy View Tablet Dwarfs Apple iPad Pro; Android 5.1 Lollipop, Cortex-A53, Cortex-A57 Cores But No Rear Camera

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook is held up for display at a media event on August 20, 2014 in New York City. The new tablet has a 7-inch screen and will cost $179.

The Samsung Galaxy View is most likely to appear soon as implied in the recent IFA 2015 event as it was briefly brought to the view through a video without giving much information, focusing only on the idea that it is big.

The Samsung Galaxy View specs leaked thanks to a GFX standard database. This tablet of version number SM-T670 appeared in a display of 18.4 inches, which would simply make the recently released iPad Pro by Apple look smaller, GSM Arena reported.

The Samsung Galaxy View's  other details were shown on GFXBench database pointing towards the tablet having 1080x1920 pixels of resolution, which amounts to 119 ppi density, given its screen size. Moreover, Galaxy View tablet has evidently no rear camera and has a front camera only, with 2 megapixels.

As for the hardware, the Samsung Galaxy View is reportedly having 32 GB storage on-board, 2 GB RAM and a chipset of Exynos 7580.  Its CPU will be octa-core edition consisted of four Cortex-A57 and four Cortex-A53 cores, clocked at 1.6 GHz.

Samsung has yet to summarize the reason behind its creation of this huge-sized tablet, but it will run with Android 5.1 Lollipop, SamMobile reported. Given its specs and size, it is less likely to compete with iPad Pro that comes with Apple Pencil stylus and actually aimed at businesses.

The Samsung Galaxy View reports have said that this may be aimed at consumers with no television. This may be a reason for its missing rear-facing camera which is quite a required feature for most consumers who want to buy tablets.

The Samsung Galaxy View tablet is expected to have features like WiFi, a light sensor, GPS and Bluetooth.
