"Empire" season 2 will introduce Adam Rodriguez's character Laz Delgado on Wednesday night.
Just recently, FOX released two photos featuring Rodriguez's Laz and Taraji P. Henson's Cookie Lyon's first meet-up.
According to TV Line, Laz will become Cookie's newest love interest, especially now that her relationship with Lucious (Terrence Howard) is completely over.
Rodriguez's character will appear on "Empire" season 2's Oct. 21 episode.
Meanwhile, FOX described Laz as "a smooth-talking concert promoter with expert hustler skills... who takes an interest in Cookie."
In one of the photos, Laz was featured in a close up shot. Another photo featured the character with his back turned towards the camera.
In other news, the upcoming episode of "Empire" season 2 will feature Andre trying to win back the trust and support of his father.
"Fires of Heaven" could reportedly feature Andre killing someone on behalf of Lucious.
"Cookie and Anika secretly work together behind Lucious' back to pull off a surprise performance that catches the eye of Pitbull. Meanwhile, Lucious tracks down Frank Gathers' daughter, Young Ma, to try to convince her to sign with him at Empire, while Hakeem is hard at work on his girl group, Menage a Trois. Also, Andre and Rhonda hope their baby-on-the-way will be the key that unlocks Lucious' cold heart and opens the door for Andre to return to the Empire fold."
"Empire" season 2 also stars Jussie Smollett, Bryshere Y. Gray, Trai Byers, Grace Gealey and more.
"Empire" season 2 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
