F1 Ex-Racer Michael Schumacher’s Health Updates: Family Grateful For Fans’ Continued Support, Bid To Host 2016 Reining Championships

Michael Schumacher, one of the greatest Formula One racer in history, is progressing with the most difficult journey in his life as many supportive fans, co-racers, and people from the racing industry remain relentless in their well wishes. Schumi's family has shown gratitude for all the support they have received.

The front page of the official Schumacher website has revealed an updated statement that acknowledges that Schumacher's fan-base on Twitter are contributing a lot towards the improvement of the seven time world champion's health struggle. Currently, the Twitter hashtag "#keepfightingmichael" has now been included compared to 2014's post.

The message reads: "YOUR STRENGTH IS HELPING US. Still we receive wishes for Michael to get well soon every day, and still we are stunned by the sheer amount of sympathies. We can only always thank you for facing this fight together with him and us. We remain confident and hope the best for Michael. Your strength is helping us to keep supporting him. #keepfightingmichael."

In every Grand Prix event, Schumacher's fans cannot help themselves but remembers how the former F1 racer performed on track. They have continued to voice their prayers for Schumi to get well soon. Schumacher has currently a total of 61,743 tweets.

The former Ferrari F1 racer suffered a head and brain injury while skiing at Meribel Resort in the French Alps in December 2013. Schumacher hit a rock that left him in an induced coma. Updates on his health condition have remained scanty after Schumi's wife declared a media blackout, asserting that Michael himself would have wanted to keep his condition private.

Meanwhile, according to The National, the family is bidding to host the upcoming 2016 Reining World Championships. The family would like to host the event at their custom-built ranch in Givrins, Switzerland - the place that has previously hosted European Championships.

The family comprises of Reining champions since Corinna, Michael's wife won the European Reining Championships in 2010, whereas the daughter, Gina, is the current junior European champion.
