‘Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol. 2’ Film Update: Director James Gunn Says There Will Be One Sneeper In The Film

James Gunn's “Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2” hits theaters on May 5, 2017.

Director James Gunn has been allowed to use the alien race Sneepers in his forthcoming Marvel Comics film "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2."

Gunn shared a post on his official Facebook page. In his post, Gunn said that Marvel's legal department had come back and had told him that the alien name Sneepers was not a big deal and had been cleared for use.

The director also clarified that it had not been his own decision to push the use of Sneepers in the film. While he said that people of Marvel's legal department were "sweet people," they might have read the online articles about the matter and reconsidered Gunn to run it in the upcoming film.

In September, Gunn was advised by Marvel's legal department not to name one of the alien species Sneepers in his upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2," since "sneeper" is a word for clitoris in Iceland.

According to Comic Book, the Sneepers had a triad of pectoral muscles and the female species had three breasts. The publication also mentioned that the aforementioned alien race might be linked to the "Triple-Breasted Whore of Eroticon Six," known as Eccentrica Gallumbitis.

For Gunn, he loved using actual names of characters from the pages of the comic books, since this would make watching the cinematic adaptation more enjoyable, according to Cinema Blend. In fact, the director mentioned in his recent post that fans are set to see a Sneeper in his upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy" film sequel.

"Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" also stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper (voice), Vin Diesel (voice), Sean Gunn, Karen Gillan, and Michael Rooker, among others.

Directed by James, "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" is slated to premiere in theaters in United States on May 5, 2017.
