Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Home Becomes a No-Fly Zone

Anmer Hall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's country home on the Queen's Sandringham estate, will now be a no-fly zone.

Britain's security services said that Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Norfolk home will soon be a no-fly zone.

The no-fly zone will cover the area around Anmer Hall property located in the Queen's Sandringham estate, where Prince William and his family are believed to spend most of their time.

The move has followed a security concern raised by Britain's security services who in future intend to better safeguard Prince William and Kate Middleton together with their young family.

William and Middleton's communications secretary, Johnson Knauf, earlier in summer, raised privacy concerns in a detailed public letter, Yahoo News reported. In the letter, he asserted that paparazzi photographers had been going into extremities of taking photos of the couple's young children, Princess Charlotte and Prince George.

Therefore, it was concluded that there was need to offer extra protection to the members of the royal family.

According to Belfast Telegraph, the no-fly zone was imposed by the department of Transport under a legislative form of statutory instruments. It stated that, the security of state, under grounds of public interest, decided that it was obligatory to put a restriction on flying around the vicinity of Anmer Hall, Norfolk, with security considerations of protecting the residence of members of the royal family.

The actual restriction will be fully enforced on Nov. 1 and it will particularly prohibit drones and planes to fly below 2000 feet within an area of 1.5 miles in diameter.

The restriction applies to all planes and drones with exceptions of emergency service aircrafts, aircrafts invited to Anmer Hall and the Queen's helicopter.

The no-fly zone in the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's residence comes after other similar restrictions were imposed over Sandringham to protect Queen Elizabeth II.
