Asad Qizilbash, head of software marketing for Sony Computer Entertainment America, speaks about the Street Fighter V video game during a Sony Corp. event ahead of the E3 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, California, U.S., on Monday, June 15,

Recently, a number of screenshots of Laura, the newly added character in the famous fighting game "Street Fighter 5," were inadvertently leaked online. The images featured some of Laura's moves including her attack imbued with electricity.

Since the images had already leaked, game developer and publisher Capcom eventually chose to unveil the official trailer of the new character.

According to GameSpot, the "Street Fighter 5" promo for Laura was removed from YouTube the day it was released. Fortunately, the trailer has been publicized again on the PlayStation official YouTube page. Fans can see how Laura fights on her official trailer at the bottom of this article.

Based on her fighting technique, Laura specializes in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As viewers will notice, the character is somehow similar to Blanka because of the green color theme of her outfit and she also originates from Brazil. Additionally, Laura also utilizes electricity on some of her attacks, similar to the green beast from the previous installments.

Laura is among the four new characters added to the game. Apart from her, two other characters have been revealed including the beast-like tribal warrior Necalli and the swift-as-the-wind fighter Rashid. However, there are no further details on the rest of the characters.

The publishing company, Capcom has not yet officially announced the release date for the upcoming installment. However, for eager fans as pointed out by the same publication in a different report, there will be another beta test later this October, introducing the cross-platform gameplay between PS4 and the PC.

"Street Fighter 5" beta will commence on Oct. 22 and will end on Oct. 25.
