New "Street Fighter 5" updates will have Capcom feature new game details at New York Comic Con and Yoshinori Kitase's opinion on a new character.
Capcom revealed the latest character Laura in the roster of "Street Fighter 5" a few hours right after Zangief's trailer was streamed online. Laura in "Street Fighter 5, is described as a capoeira fighter living in Brazil and judging by numerous leaked photos she is also features moves that are similar to Brazillian jiu-jitsu such as armbar and takedowns. But, makes this character interesting is that she also uses lighting based attacks similar to "Street Fighter" fan favorite Blanka, Gamerant reported
Many game fans were surprised of the sudden announcement of the character, but "Street Fighter" Yoshinori Ono has revealed several things on how he felt about Laura. Ono tweeted that he felt stabbed in the back for because it, but must move on and work hard on "Street Fighter 5's" development.
The tweet made it clear that Ono was not happy on the decision to have Laura as the new Brazillian character in "Street Fighter 5" as previous promos hinted that Blanka was likely the next character being added into the game.
Laura is the third new faces to be introduced in "Street Fighter 5" alongside Necalli and Rashid. There are also rumors that two new characters are added in the roster: Sherry and Kuan.
"Street Fighter 5's" playable roster includes Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, Charlie Nash, M. Bison, Cammy White, Birdie, Zangief, Vega, R. Mika and Karin Kanzuki. There are other fighters being considered in the game such as Guile, Dudley, Alex, Urien, C. Viper, Poison, Hugo and Abel.
In other news, Capcom will reveal new game details for "Street Fighter 5" at New York Comic Con on Oct. 10 from 5:30-6:30pm EDT, EventHubs reported.
The event will feature more gameplay on the recently announced characters like Zangief, Karin, Rashid and even Laura. Ono will also be make an appearance at the event.
"Street Fighter 5" will release in March 2016 for the PS4 and PC.
