The Super Smash Fighter Ballot ended last October 3 and the immediate aftermath is the swirling rumors of new characters that will be introduced to the Super Smash Bros 4 plus the likelihood of additional two stages, according to a new report.

Specifically, the ballot gave gamers the chance to nominate characters they think should be packaged with the next round of DLCs for Smash Bros 4, Christian Today reported.

Citing a clue provided by a data miner, the blog report indicated that three slots have opened up for new characters and the speculation was based on the codes discovered by the same data miner following the last Smash patch update.

Apart from the slots that apparently were reserved for the upcoming characters, it was suggested too that the game will receive two new stages though there is no way of confirming the rumors at the moment.

While the details provided so far are far from solid, fans did not waste time to float around the characters they're dying to see on the Smash Bros universe. Among the most mentioned are the Donkey Kong Country mainstays Dixie Kong and King K.

Fans would also love to see Ridley of Metroid, Inkling of Splatoon and Isaac of Golden Sun to further spice up the ever-evolving world of Smash Bros.

But it appears that the one character that is creating significant amount of buzz is Shovel Knight. According to Christian Today, Shovel Knight was leaked out as a possible character DLC for Smash Bros by Nintendo Life.

As for the additional Smash Bros stages, the details on the matter remain sketchy at the moment.

The new character confirmation for Super Smash Bros 4 is expected to happen real soon with the report pointing to the result of the Fighter Ballot as primary source of the answer.
