‘Breaking Bad’ Actor Bryan Cranston Wants A ‘Nasty’ Marvel Villain Role

Thanos is the supreme villain in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's "Avengers: Infinity War."

"Breaking Bad" actor Bryan Cranston has shared his thoughts on appearing in Marvel's Cinematic Universe.

In his interview with Metro at the London Film Festival premiere of Jay Roach's biopic "Trumbo," Cranston said that he would like to play a big antagonist in a Marvel film. The actor also said that the character should be created from scratch and he did not know what she would have done, but it would have been "nasty."

It would be easy for him to play an antagonist as fans have seen him play villain roles in Vince Gilligan's crime thriller television series "Breaking Bad" and Len Wiseman's action mystery film "Total Recall," as per Cinema Blend. However, Marvel's Cinematic Universe has not yet brought a number of main villains from the Marvel comic books to the big screen.

Aside from Oscar Isaac's Apocalypse and Josh Brolin's Thanos, Cranston statement suggests that this villainous role could be as threatening as the aforementioned.

Cranston is also known for his roles in Linwood Boomer's comedy television series "Malcolm in the Middle," Nicolas Winding Refn's crime drama "Drive," and Ben Affleck's historical drama thriller "Argo." He is set to be part of Dylan Kidd's comedy film "Get a Job," Brad Furman's crime drama "Infiltrator," and Alessandro Carloni and Jennifer Yuh's animated film "Kung Fu Panda 3."

Meanwhile, Apocalypse and Thanos are set to be seen in Bryan Singer's forthcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse" and Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War."

Roach's "Trumbo" hits theaters on Nov. 6. Meanwhile, Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 27, 2016. The Russos' "Avengers: Infinity War - Part I" is set to hit theaters on May 4, 2018 while "Avengers: Infinity - Part II" premieres on May 3, 2019.
