"She is my woman and I am her man."

No, those are not some lyrics from a 1980s power ballad, nor are they words that came out the mouths of teeny bopper boy bands.

That statement came from Travis Browne, a top five-ranked UFC Heavyweight, when asked about his relationship with fellow fighter, Ronda Rousey.

Browne confirmed his relationship with the UFC's reining bantamweight queen on Ariel Helwani's podcast, The MMA Hour.

"There's no boyfriend, girlfriend stuff," Browne said. "We are together."

According to "Hapa," he doesn't like the term "dating" as it brings to mind a term that kids use these days.

However, he gushes about Rousey by calling her "a sweetheart" and "one of the hardest working athletes" that he's ever seen.

Browne continued: "And through our own personal experiences of how compassionate and really how much of a sweetheart she really is. That's what a lot of people don't see out of her. They see that, but they don't really get to experience that."

Behind this revelation, it was also widely reported over the summer that Travis Browne went into an ugly case with ex-girfriend, Jenna Renee Webb, after domestic abuse allegations surfaced.

As a result, Browne was investigated and was suspended by the UFC.

For his part, the heavyweight fighter vehemently denied the accusation and ultimately got his job back in the organization.

"The fact that I was reinstated by the UFC is enough, I don't want to go into details," Browne told Helwani.

Interestingly enough, Rousey threw verbal jabs at boxing superstar, Floyd Mayweather Jr., during this year's ESPYs saying: "I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once."

Of course, at the end of the day, no matter how unlikely - or likely - this new pairing is, one can't help but be happy for both Browne and Rousey.

The couple reportedly met two years ago when Travis Browne switched teams to train at the Glendale Fighting Club in Los Angeles.

Ronda Rousey is scheduled to defend her UFC Women's Bantamweight belt against Holly Holm at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia for UFC 193.

On the other hand, Browne is set to square off with another UFC vet, Matt Mitrione, on January 17, 2016.
