NFL 2015 Season: Atlanta Falcons vs New Orleans Saints, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

| Oct 13, 2015 03:20 PM EDT

Robert Alford (#23) of the Atlanta Falcons returns an interception for a touchdown in their 25-19 overtime win against the Washington Redskins.

The Atlanta Falcons (5-0) are atop of the NFC South at the moment and they will look to extend their five-game winning streak as they meet the struggling New Orleans Saints (1-4) at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome for a 2015 NFL season Week 6 game on Thursday, October 15.

Atlanta's last win was not the best one of the five so far, but Matt Ryan and Robert Alford managed to lead their team to a 25-19 overtime win over the Washington Redskins at the Georgia Dome last Sunday.

USA Today noted that the Falcons have come from behind in four of their five victories, all of which were against NFC East opponents (Philadelphia, New York, Dallas, and now Washington).

Meanwhile, the Saints continue their dismal start to the season after they dropped a 39-17 game to the Eagles also on Sunday at the Lincoln Financial Field, as reported by Yahoo Sports.

Quarterback Drew Brees struggled the whole game, committing three turnovers that translated to 17 Philadelphia points, as they lost again after winning a Week 4 game against the injury-plagued Cowboys.

New Orleans has not been very good on defense lately, especially against running backs, and so the fast-rising Devonta Freeman will again have the opportunity to shine in this match.

Prediction: Falcons win, 35-28.
