Krysten Ritter is Jessica Jones.

Plot details for the upcoming Marvel television series "Jessica Jones" have been revealed.

According to Coming Soon, it was confirmed at the New York Comic Con that Marvel's forthcoming series "Jessica Jones" would be based on Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos' comic book "Alias." Debuted in 2001, the comics would largely affect the plot of the upcoming television series, as per the publication.

The pilot of episode of the forthcoming series would take in a young girl who had gone missing, which suggests a link to Jessica Jones' past. Also, fans would see the relationship between Jones and Luke Cage, with the latter running a local bar. Jones would also share the screen with Malcolm, her neighbor whose personal journey interlaces with hers. Meanwhile, there was not much information on Killgrave.

The forthcoming Netflix series is set to have dark tone, in contrary to typical Marvel films and television series, which showcase a light tone, as per Movie Pilot.

"Jessica Jones" stars Krysten Ritter as Jones and Mike Colter as Cage. David Tennant, who was not present in the New York Comic Con, will play the major villain Killgrave, also known as the Purple Man in the comics.

The show also stars Carrie-Ann Moss, who plays Jeryn Hogarth, a lawyer and a powerful alliance to Jones; Rachael Taylor as Trish "Patsy" Walker, a former model and child star who is Jones' best friend and now works as a radio host; Erin Moriarty as Hope, a client of Alias investigations; and Eka Darville as Malcolm, among others.

Directed by S.J. Clarkson, "Jessica Jones" Episode 1, entitled "AKA Ladies Night" is slated to premiere on Netflix on Nov. 20.
