Jessica Danforth has revealed the reason behind running as mayor in "Arrow" Season 4 Episode 2 has been revealed in an exclusive clip.

The clip of Season 4 Episode 2 is entitled "The Candidate" can be seen in Comic Book. In the clip, which ran for a minute and 12 seconds, Danforth said that she had seen the Green Arrow's broadcast, which had hit her. It was then followed by her admission that she was going to run as mayor, which shocked her friend. Oliver Queen and Thea Queen got concerned, since the last three mayors have been killed.

Danforth pushed her decision despite of being warned by the Queens, saying that she wanted to step forward and she wanted their support

The rest of the episode saw Green Arrow and Speedy make an oath to defend Danforth. Also, Thea started to have effects from the Lazarus Pit while Felicity Smoak was challenged by a hard business decision and decided to ask help from one of her workers, Curtis Holt.

Meanwhile, Season 4 Episode 3, entitled "Restoration" will see the brewing conflict between Oliver and John Diggle put them at risk as they track down Damien Darhk and a H.I.V.E. metahuman, as per Spoilers Guide. Then, Laurel Lance will talk to Thea into come back to Nanda Parbat to request her father to put Sara Lance into the Lazarus Pit. Laurel becomes surprised when Nyssa al Ghul declines to do it.

"Arrow" Season 4 stars Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Neal McDonough, Katie Cassidy, Emily Bett Rickards, Willia Holland, and John Barrowman. Returning cast members include Brandon Routh, Alexander Calvert, Echo Kellum, Jimmy Akingbola, Caity Lotz, Jeri Ryan, Parker Young, Rutina Wesley, and Elysia Rotaru, among others.

John Behring's "Arrow" Season 4 Episode 2 "The Candidate" aired on Oct. 14 while Wendey Stanzler's Episode 3 "Restoration" will air on Oct. 21.
