Nintendo has been subtle about some of the new changes in the company's plans for the future, including developments in the New Nintendo NX hardware. But it appears that devs can get early kits to develop new games.
Dubbed as the company's entry to the next-gen console competition, the new Nintendo NX is supposed to be its latest hardware for gaming. The company has already announced its existence. However, Nintendo fans have yet to really see concrete developments in the platform.
It appears that Nintendo has taken a few steps forward, since the company is now looking to distribute the hardware to developer via software kits, The Wall Street Journal reported. The kits will serve as a way for devs to create new games on the platform. This will help come next year, when Nintendo plans to sell the device.
So far, there are already games planned to debut on the Nintendo NX. "Dragon Quest" is among these games. Even until now, Nintendo has yet to reveal the prototype. However, the former and late president Satoru Iwata did promise gamers that the Nintendo NX is the next platform that will be dedicated for videogames.
In terms of Nintendo games, the "Super Smash Bros." is not the only awaited game. Another shooter title, "Splatoon," is set to have a new update, and with this may come bad news for some players.
Nintendo has released the update details of the "Splatoon" ver 2.2.0 update in a document on the official Nintendo website. There are quite a few weapons adjustment where some weapons saw decreases in maximum damage, recovery time and fire rate. Rollers and blasters saw the majority of the recalibration.
There are some weapons that saw increase in fire rate, like the Rapid Blaster, as well as increased range, like the H-3 Nozzlenose. Overall, the changes seem to balance the game. More than weapons, Nintendo is also introducing adjustments to ranked battles. Specifically, there will be changes for the Tower Control and Splat Zones. Nintendo has even presented the calculation that were used for Ranking, as seen in the link above.
However, the update is not just about nerfing some weapons. It will also introduce a new weapon, the Rapid Blaster Pro, via Sheldon's Weapon Shop.
