Almost all Nexus devices which were running on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 are now running on Android Marshmallow. Earlier this week, LG G4 became the first non-Nexus device to receive this update. The users on LG G4 in Poland are using Android Marshmallow in their devices. Users of LG G4 in other countries are expected to soon get the Android Marshmallow update as well.
Android Marshmallow is bringing a lot of major visible changes in the user interface of the device. The home screen drop down menu looks different, with the addition of a DND feature. This feature gives the users an option to make the device either completely silent, alarms only, or priority only. With the total silence feature, even the video and music player sounds are turned off.
In addition, the persisting problem of device over heating is reduced, along with the device running on zero lag, according to BGR. The support for USB Type C connection and finger print scanner is also incorporated with Android Marshmallow upgrade. The Android Marshmallow update will drastically increase the battery life of the device, after installation.
