Samsung Galaxy S6 will be the first device amongst the Samsung flagship devices to get the Android Marshmallow update.

However, the release date for this is yet to be announced but what seems to be sure is that this device will get this update before the end of this year. According to T-Mobile, currently the device is being tested for the upcoming update.

Other Samsung models like the Galaxy S5, Note 5, Note 4, S6 Edge along with Edge Plus will also receive this update eventually. They will get the Android Marshmallow update later in 2016. Samsung is expected to release its own version of the Android Marshmallow update. It will include the Touch Wiz interface and also a modified appearance.

Samsung was pushing the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 upgrade into many of its flagship devices earlier this month. The update was sent mainly to remove the Stage Fright vulnerability. This bug allows the hackers to enter the device with just a click and get access to all the information of the user.

Earlier this week, LG G4 became the first device outside of the Nexus family to receive this update in Poland. Many LG G4 devices are already running on it. The update will bring a lot of major changes to the entire user experience of the device.

The material design will get an upgrade, in addition to the support for 4G LTE connectivity. The support for the finger print scanner and USB Type C connectivity will also be incorporated into the devices, according to BGR.

New icons, new animations, and zero lag will also be includes post this upgrade. The persisting problem of the over heating of the devices will be minimized with this upgrade.
