2NE1 Comeback Not Happening Soon; Members Busy With Individual Schedules

YG new girl group to debut soon? 2ne1 to disband?

Bad news for Blackjacks as it seems that Kpop top girl group 2NE1 comeback is not happening anytime soon.

Movie News Guide reported that the group's Park Bom is back, but it does not signify the group's comeback in the near future. YG Entertainment previously announced that Park Bom is fine and needs more time for reflection.

Park Bom was caught up in "drug smuggling scandal". It was revealed that she was not charged of smuggling amphetamines from the United States to South Korea. However, YG Entertainment claimed that these are prescription drugs for her trauma brought about by an unfortunate experience as a child.

Moreover, YG is also focusing on CL's US debut. CL is working closely with Diplo for the tracks of her American album.

Meanwhile, the remaining two members of 2NE1 - Sandara Park and Minzy - are busy with their respective schedules. Dara delved into acting as she was recently tapped to star in KBS "Missing Korea" opposite of Kim Jeong Hoon. Minzy, on the other hand, is busy managing her own dance academy.

Meanwhile, there is an unfounded rumor saying that one of Korea's top girl groups 2ne1 will retire from the Kpop industry. Some of the probable reasons of the rumored disbandment are CL's solo US promotions and Park Bom's drug smuggling scandal last year. YG Entertainment denied the rumors saying that 2NE1 is still in contract for next year.

There are more preparations that must be done than usual before 2NE1's comeback. Nevertheless, there is a chance that we will not see the return of the girls anytime soon.
