Former UFC Light Heavyweight king, Jon Jones, has been on the right track toward recovery - and quite possibly another shot at the gold.

After a controversial summer marred by a felony hit-and-run case, "Bones" is slowly making amends by reaching out to the community way before his court-mandated probation takes place.

According to many people who have seen him put his whole effort in the endeavor, Jones is about to complete his requirements after visiting five locations on Thursday, October 1.

In addition, TMZ reported that heads of several youth organizations in Albuquerque, New Mexico are pleased with the former pound-for-pound champ's appearances.

"His message to my team was simply awesome," said the head coach of Sandia Prep School about Jones' visit. "His whole demeanor was great. These are young me, 8th grade to seniors in high school who really look up to him and I think they learned from this and appreciated Jon's visit."

The coach also added that Jones informed the students on veering away from the path that nearly cost him his mixed martial arts career and his life.

On the other hand, Don Ortega, a head instructor at Gracie Barra New Mexico Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, shared how Jon Jones used past failures as a motivation to achieve present day success.

"He talked about losing a lot of wrestling matches but setting his goals high and working hard to achieve them," Ortega spoke of the 205-pounder.

When it comes to Jon Jones' comeback trail inside the UFC octagon, that still remains up in the air, as he's currently focused on getting his life back together while helping others' along the way.
