Marcin Iwinski, co-founder of CD Project Red company which created computer game 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' is pictured in the headquarters of the company in Warsaw, Poland on June 2, 2015.

"The Witcher III: Wild Hunt" by CD Projekt Red started getting several awards from lots of different prestigious gaming bodies before it is even available in the market. After its release, the game continued to receive positive reviews and high ratings from all over.

"The Witcher III: Wild Hunt's" Jose Teixeira of CD Projekt Red recently shared with MCV UK during an interview that the game's smashing success came as a surprise for the whole company as they did not anticipate that the fans' overwhelming response.

The "The Witcher III: Wild Hunt" visual effects artist recalled, "Witcher 1 and II were popular, but were still a niche. We were hoping Witcher III would do well and were so happy that fans, for the lack of a better term, 'got it'."

Since "The Witcher III: Wild Hunt" is such a hit, many were wondering whether CD Projekt Red is already thinking about releasing a sequel to the game, Game Planet reported. Unfortunately, "The Witcher III: Wild Hunt" might be the last installment in the game series. Aside from the story wrapping up in the latest game, CDPR had previously announced that a "Witcher IV" might not happen, which may be due to the fact that the company is currently focusing on another project, the "Cyberpunk 2077."

When inquired about the future plans for "The Witcher" game series, Teixeira simply answered, "I have no idea."

As for the purported culmination of the game, he just said that they were very happy with the way it ended. If this is the end, then it ends on a good note and from there, they are ready to move on.

"The Witcher III: Wild Hunt" developer said that with the game, imagination is the limit.
