When the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus was released on Sept. 25, one of the features that immediately gained popularity is the 3D Touch. First introduced in the Apple Watch as Force Touch, the feature ultimately finds its way to the iPhone device.

The introduction of the Force Touch feature opens up a lot of functions for iPhone 6S and 6S Plus users. Here are three of the best functions of the 3D Touch:

Quick Actions
By using 3D Touch, users of the new iPhone models are able to open up several actions depending on the app when they hard press it. Using the 3D Touch function on the Camera app will open up the following actions; take a photo, take a selfie, record video and record video on slo-mo. Using 3D Touch on the Shazam up will open the following functions; visual Shazam, start auto Shazam and Shazam now. According to ZDNet, if used on the Messages app, it provides quick access to recent conversations and allows user to create new message.

Quick Share Photos
The 3D Touch feature allows for a lot of quick action and navigation options. It also allow users to quickly share a photo. Rather than opening each photo, using the 3D Touch feature allow users to share directly from the Years, Collections and Moments view. According to iPhoneFAQ.org, this action can be activated by simply pressing hard on a photo and dragging it up. Doing so will give user the option to copy, share, favorite or delete the photo.

Preview Emails and Links
This action is very helpful especially when browsing the Internet or checking emails. Hard pressing on an email or link will open up a small preview screen allowing the user to peruse if it is interesting or not. Pressing on the selection harder will allow open it.
