There are rumors claiming that Apple is gearing up to release new and upgraded iMac and it looks like the tech giant is also planning to release three updated Mac accessories with it.
Hidden deep in Apple OS X 10.11.1 configuration file is a hint that the Cupertino-based company has three new input devices. Apparently, the three devices bears the branding Magic on them.
The inclusion of these devices was first spotted by Consomac. It was discovered in OS X 10.11.1 beta 3 and suggests that Apple is planning to release a Magic Mouse 2, Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad 2 within the coming months. The OS X 10.11.1 beta 3 was initially released for developers.
Past rumors claim that Apple is planning to release a new 21.5-inch iMac with 4K Retina display. The new iMac model is expected to hit Apple Stores on Oct. 13. According to Mac World, the tech giant has yet to confirm whether the three new Magic devices will be released alongside the new iMac model.
It is important to note that in August Apple submitted filings to the Federal Communications Commission for the Magic Mouse 2 which has stronger Bluetooth connectivity. The filings also indicated that Apple is planning to release a new and updated keyboard along with the Magic Mouse.
Despite Apple's silence on the matter, many tech analysts predict that the upcoming new accessories will support some kind of pressure sensitive functionality, according to Apple Insider. Apple rebranded the Force Touch feature as 3D Touch for the iPhone 6S and analysts are expecting that the company will do the same on the new accessories.
