WATCH: 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' NEW Trailer Released Online After Monday Football Halftime Debut
The much-anticipated "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" new trailer has now been released online and it is breaking the internet. The third trailer of the latest installment to the Star Wars franchise was first shown this evening during "Monday Night Football" on ESPN.
It is by far the most engaging of the three trailers as it gives us a better understanding of the way the plot of the movie will turn out.
Han Solo and Chewbacca make their second trailer appearance and Princess Leia made her debut in this latest one.
The only one missing from the core triumvirate is Luke Skywalker who is yet to be revealed in any teaser or trailer.
Perhaps J.J. Abrams is reserving Luke for an even bigger trailer next month. So far, we still have only the glimpse of his robotic hand.
Even without his appearance, the rest of the cast both old and new have made this the best trailer we've seen from all the other "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailers or teasers.
This trailer comes on the heels of a plethora of Star Wars 7-related media announcements over the weekend including a newly released and beautifully designed poster (courtesy of ComicBook.com) that harkens back to the first Star Wars trilogy.
The official Star Wars YouTube channel released trailer number three online. Within a few minutes of its upload, the trailer reached 50,000 views and is on pace to reach the one million mark within the next hour or so.
