"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" teasers were released by Disney Sunday night in preparation for the trailer to be shown during "Monday Night Football" on ESPN.
Fans of the intergalactic franchise are expected to tune in to the game whether or not they are football fans as well.
The trailer is expected to air during halftime of the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles game which starts at 8:15 PM EST, according to SlashFilm.

In what many are projecting to be the highest grossing movie of the year, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has lorded it over the geek sites this weekend.
There's plenty of material for fans to pore over starting with the latest "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" poster that was made beautifully with a nod to previous posters from the original trilogy.
Also, ComicBook.com reported that select movie theaters announced movie marathons showing the first six films that will culminate in the premiere of the latest installment in the Star Wars trilogy.
Tickets will be sold soon after the release of the new trailer airing Monday night.
And finally, exclusive Star Wars collectibles will be made available at select movie theaters across the US.
What else can Star Wars fans ask for? Teasers, of course, and Disney did not disappoint with the release of three teasers to Monday Night Football's trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will debut in theaters on December 18, 2015.
