iPad Air 3 release may reportedly happen between late 2015 and early 2016.
Although tech giant Apple recently announced a myriad of iPhones and iPads last month, reports claimed that the company has plans to release a more powerful iPad Air 3 soon to cater to the different needs of consumers.
Apple is taking a new course as it offers more diverse product line by announcing iPad Pro and iPhone 6S Plus. These devices catered to the specific segments of the market untapped by Apple before.
However, with the official availability of the iPad Pro is still in November, Apple will unlikely to release the iPad Air 3 anytime soon. The company is wary that the tablet will cannibalize the larger tablet. Thus, the device will most likely be launched at the end of 2015 or early next year the latest, according to Cult of Mac.
Moreover, with the threat posed Microsoft Surface Pro 4, it is only natural that Apple will respond with a better device to keep its dominance in the market.
According to rumors, iPad Air 3 will include significant improvements in comparison with the previous iPad Air. The new iPad Air 3 will pack 9.7 inch screen display with 4K pixel resolution, A9X processor, 2GB to 4GB RAM, improved cameras, fingerprint sensor, and longer battery life.
The iPad Air 3 is speculated to focus on entertainment and media functions making it superior than iPad Pro.
However, there is no official confirmation from Apple yet regarding the release date and features of the said device.
