Recently, there has been report that Android users from all over the world are facing casting issues.

Recently, there has been report that Android users from all over the world are facing casting issues. The reasons for such a failure were attributed to the recent Marshmallow update that came along with the Nexus player.

But a recent update on this factor is that a Reddit user, who claims to be a member of the Google's Android system, clarifies that Marshmallow update is not the reason for casting failure.

Meanwhile, a solution to the casting trouble is now up, Android Police reported. Users just need to download the latest version of Cast receiver app to fix this issue. The updated version is posted in Playstore, which is yet reportedly another quick trick by Google team. Users may not right away receive the update and you will need to go ahead with some random checks to find the right file to download. Once the update is complete, the casting trouble gets normal and an update for both automatic and manual version is expected very soon.

In case a user is already on the Nexus player, then there is a need to only download the x86 file. Otherwise, the users first need to download the ARM which is then followed by the x86 file. Also, if you are among the group of users who have never installed the Android TV APK, then there is a need to first download the ES file explorer that is available on the Playstore. This version is compatible with Android TV. This particular version also contains cloud storage for Google drive and Drop Box.
