Supercell's "Clash of Clans"

This week, specifically on October 24, Supercell will reportedly reveal the latest update to its super-hit game Clash of Clans, said to be packaged as Halloween DLCs. The ClashCon new content provisions will not only bring new things but point to what the future has in store for COC fanatics.

Supercell's Halloween treat is supposed to add never before seen features to the title but the update and DLCs also foretell of upcoming improvements likely planned by the game creator. In an interesting piece, Master Herald offered its take on how the Clash of Clans will become even more exciting.

Significant landscape change

The Halloween effect coming to COC is significant as it will alter the current landscape of the game, the report said. By its present state, COC has already lured in millions of gamers but Supercell is well aware that sticking with the formula in place could slow down growth.

The Nighttime Mode, for instance, signifies Supercell's willingness to disrupt the COC setting loved by millions. Not only that the new mode will introduce visual treats - glimmering gems and illuminating torches - but it will also present a new texture to the prevailing gameplay, making it more challenging and equally engaging.

Casual and complex

The beauty and appeal of the Clash of Clans lie on its seeming simplicity, which serves as a magnet to the casual gamers. But COC is a tough nut to crack at the same time, which is a character that advance players crave for. The Halloween DLC will continue on the trend, in which casual and hardcore gamers blend in a COC setting that is both simple and competitive.

COC with universal appeal

As mentioned, the Clans of Clans rose to popularity for connecting to all types of gamers and it will continue to do so beyond the Halloween DLC. The Nighttime Mode, for example, will likely not appeal to all COC fans so rumors have it that the DLC will include a switch so players can turn off the future when desired.

If true, it will only prove that Supercell is bent on continuing to the path it is taking - a COC that is configured to everyone's liking.

Lean gameplay features

The COC Halloween DLC seems a long time coming but the glacial pace is likely deliberate on Supercell's part. This can be explained by the game maker's intention to steer away from frequent DLC delivery that could offset the balanced setting of the game. The likely result could be two things - padding up the game features to a fault that it becomes bloated or making it overly simplistic.

But the road likely heads to COC fans losing grip and interest. So it appears that the Clash of Clans Halloween DLC for revelation though ClashCon is more of a lean feature addition but with rich enough texture to keep game title going for a long time.
