Fallout Shelter is a free-to-play mobile simulation video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios, with assistance by Behaviour Interactive, and published by Bethesda Softworks.

"Fallout Shelter" on Android and iOS recently received the latest 1.2 update. Bethesda added a new Survival Mode, another "Fallout 4" character called Piper, plus a whole lot more of game content.

The game developer also released the trailer for the new gameplay under Patch 1.2. In the trailer, it is shown that the game's new update features Survival mode with an option for a higher level of difficulty.

Moreover, fans can enjoy a long list of treats such as a tutorial skip, Mysterious Stranger encounter, and new loot for conquered enemies. Gamers also get rewarded every time they spot enemies in the vault. Another new feature is a statistics page found in the Survival Guide of the Vault Dweller. It's important to remember that your Vault dwellers can't be revived in Survival Mode. And stimpaks aren't exactly easy to come by during the early stages of vault construction, iDigital Times reported.

"Fallout" series gamers with iOS devices can get the limited free-to-play character Piper. They can also avail of support for cloud to enable them to keep watch of their Vaults using multiple devices, Ad Week reported.

In the new Fallout Shelter, the new character Piper will be found in the players' Vault, serving as a Legendary Dweller. She also has improved S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats.

"Fallout Shelter" first rolled out for iOS and afterwards for Android devices.  It was released as part of the game developer's marketing campaign for its own AAA title. Meanwhile, the long-rumored "Fallout 4" is set to roll out this coming Nov. 10.
