Samsung is rumored to have moved up the launch of the Galaxy S7 smartphone to January 2016. The strategic decision will bring its pioneer mobile phone to go head to head with Apple's iPhone 6S and steal its market score. In the current scenario, both leading companies have emerged as worthy rivals in the global smartphone arena.

Samsung Galaxy S7 is metamorphosing through its final stages. The leading smartphone maker completed the design of its latest mobile phone in September and is now procuring its components to finally push it through the production channels, South Korean Electronic Times Reported.

The re-scheduling of Galaxy S7 to 2016 will make it an ultimate gift of the New Year's Eve for the consumers. Along the line, the latest smartphone by Samsung could gain higher ground to beat the sales of iPhone 6S, which is still a recent presentation.

The importance of S7 is also relevant in terms of less electrifying impact delivered by the previous model in the series, Galaxy S6, which failed to come up to company's expectations. To make the situation worse, the South Korean tech giant has recently observed a one percent drop in its annual smartphone shipments since the last year.

Under such circumstances, the success of Galaxy S7 becomes unquestionable, if the Samsung is looking to uphold its position in the global smartphone market. The extra delay could result in handing over all the coins to Apple because of the high turnover trend observed among the impatient buyers.

Looking back at the launching dates of Samsung mobiles, all of its high-end smartphones were matched with global tech events. The Galaxy S6 was rolled out at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona back in March. But after Galaxy Note 5's launch in August, just a month before the IFA trade show in Berlin, the enterprise might change the overall smartphone strategy.

It is further reported that Samsung might introduce a "sub-premium" smartphones in addition to the high-end, mid-range and low-end offers, in order to expand the scope of its consumers. The reports that Galaxy S7 might be coming sooner has not been yet confirmed by the company, but the mobile phone fanatics would hope that it is.
