Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani recently admitted his openness to go back to Serie A club Napoli as he also confessed that he is still following the games of his former club whenever he can. The report allegedly put Premier League giants Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea on "high alert" as each allegedly wants to snag the Uruguay international next season or sooner.
The Daily Express indicated that the 28-year-old forward told Italian news agency Corriere del Mezzogiorno that he is open to a move back to Naples soon if there is an opportunity. While it is not a direct indication that he would leave PSG soon, his willingness to leave his present team is enough for his suitors to get excited.
"Napoli? Why not? Here in Paris, I always watch Napoli on TV, when it fits in with training commitments and our own games," Cavani said. "I must confess, this year I'm passionate, I feel very happy to see the team playing well, having fun and getting results. I still have a lot of friends in Naples, it's a city which remains in my heart. Really, I'm very happy (for them)."
Caught Offside noted that with the confession of the Ligue 1 champion's readiness to leave Les Parisiens already made public, the three English top-flight powerhouses are all alerted to make a bid when the time actually comes.
Of the three, Arsenal is allegedly leading the race as manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly fueling the deal to happen as soon as the Uruguayan is made available by the Parc des Princes residents.
