Beyonce Unauthorized Biography

An unauthorized biography on singer Beyonce, set for release on Oct. 27, claims that Beyonce and Jay Z separated for one year. It happened at about the same time that the rapper and Solange, Beyonce's sister, had a public fight in an elevator, reportedly over Rihanna.

The CCTV footage of Standard Hotel in New York in May 2014 showed Solange lashing out at Jay Z after the Met Gala. The video, because it did not have audio when it was posted on social media sites, led to public speculation what was the spat about. The author says that Solange told Jay Z he could not attend Rihanna's after party at the Met Gala.

Besides the two, there were also bodyguards in the elevator who heard the heated conversation between the in-laws, the author adds.

According to "Becoming Beyonce: The Untold Story," written by J Randy Taraborrelli, the temporary separation happened five years after Beyonce, who was 18 when appeared on "I Got That," met Jay Z at the show in 2000.

The couple started to date and eventually married. At 34 now, Beyonce, and Jay Z, 45, have a three-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.

When they separated, Beyonce did not know what to make of the situation, the author told Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, reports Daily Mail. However, Taraborrelli says that Beyonce and Rihanna are now friends.

Before Jay Z, Beyonce had Lynder Locke as boyfriend for nine years. Locke, who says Beyonce is his first love, shares, "She's still the first girl I ever kissed at that Brian McKnight concert so long ago, when we we're little kids."

Meanwhile, TMZ reports that a federal judge threw out the lawsuit filed by a singer, Ahmad Javon Lane, who claimed that Beyonce's song "XO" was a rip-off of his "XOXO." The judge says there are no similarities between the two songs musically or lyrically, plus it has different themes. The judge notes that Lane's song is raw and raunchy, while Beyonce's song, which has more than 90 million hits in YouTube, is tamer and with a lot of romantic metaphors.
