SF Express, a Chinese courier service based in Shenzhen, will be taking over the international delivery service of Costco, a U.S.-based warehouse merchandise retailer.

According to SF Express, the Chinese delivery firm will be able to deliver the overseas products in as short as five days. After the U.S. retailer transfers the products to the Taiwan headquarters of SF Express, the China-based SF Express will be processing the products' customs clearance transactions, after which the goods will be delivered to consumers in China.

The U.S. retailer was first launched on Alibaba's Tmall website on Oct. 12. Costco has sold Corcoran nuts weighing 3 tons and 500 kilograms of cranberries to Chinese customers in the mainland in just the firm's first three days online, said SF Express.

Tmall International said that more than 100,000 Chinese mainland customers placed orders on the Corcoran nuts and cranberries for Nov. 11 Singles' Day. The two goods are the most famous products of the shopping website.

Costco currently has around 120 items, including beverage, food and household general goods on sale.

Lu, a press officer for SF Express, said that they would be offering Costco delivery of its frozen meat, poultry and fish goods to Chinese customers in the mainland with their logistics service.

SF Express has delivery services in different countries such as Australia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam, said Lu.
