"Orange is the New Black" stars Taylor Schilling, Uzo Aduba, Laura Prepon, Natasha Lyonne, Laverne Cox and Taryn Manning, among others.

"Orange is the New Black" star Taryn Manning recently revealed that the salary she's getting from the hit Netflix series is not as big as what some fans might expect.

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Manning said, "I don't really profit when it's all said and done. It's not like because we're on this hit show that we're rolling in dough," she said.

According to Cinema Blend, the actress heads to New York City to film her scenes on "Orange is the New Black."

However, Manning still resides in her home in Los Angeles. After filming is over every season, the actress goes back to L.A.

Meanwhile, the publication speculated on why Manning doesn't earn that much from "Orange is the New Black."

One of the reasons mentioned is because Manning's role as Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett is not considered a lead character.

Additionally, the publication claimed that giving the actors high salaries are impossible because Netflix is known for having only 13 episodes compared to all other TV networks.

Still, Manning proves that her passion for acting, and her love for "Orange is the New Black" is more important than earning a huge sum of money.

Even though her salary is not really that much, she will still reprise her role in the show's upcoming fourth season.

In other news, "Orange is the New Black" season 4 will continue to focus on Piper (Taylor Schilling) and her relationship with Alex (Laura Prepon).

"Orange is the New Black" season 4 will premiere on Netflix in June 2016.
