Bethesda launches the trailer for the Multiplayer Alpha for the upcoming “Doom” game.
The video game trailer showcases the mode’s graphic, gore-soaked gameplay. The trailer aims to make the fans feel good about the upcoming playable game over the weekend. However, “Doom” Multiplayer Alpha has very little content to explore.
One map, the industrial-themed Heatwave, and 6v6 team deathmatch will only be available during the alpha. Players will get to try out Power Weapon Gauss Cannon along with regular weapons and tools like the Vortex Rifle, the Super Shotgun, the Repeater, the Rocket Launcher, the Static Cannon, Plasma Rifle, Frag Grenades and Personal Teleporters.
“Doom” video displays reboot’s Executive Producer, Marty Stratton, laying the groundwork for what viewers and participants should expect, according to GameRant. After Stratton’s preamble, snippets from a bloody and fast-paced Doom team deathmatch were shown. The featured gameplay shows off weapons such as the rocket launcher, plasma rifle, static cannon, super shotgun, vortex rifle, and the gauss cannon.
Additionally, the footage highlights the first-person shooter’s gruesome melee kills, as well as power-ups like quad-damage and invisibility. Using the Demon Rune was also present, where players morph into the dual-rocket launcher wielding Revenant, leaping and blasting its way throughout the map.
Players who signed up for the Alpha invite can play “Doom.” Those who still want to register for the alpha will need to have pre-ordered or bought “Wolfenstein: The New Order” on or before May 24, 2014 to get into the “Doom” beta and then sign up at the game’s official website, IGN reported.
The multiplayer alpha officially begins on Oct. 23 and will end on Oct. 25 across the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. “Doom” is expected to launch around spring 2016 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
