"Modern Family" star Sarah Hyland and boyfriend Dominic Sherwood recently took their relationship to the next level by adopting a dog together. The couple revealed that they have rescued a chocolate lab over the weekend, who they called Boo.
Hyland took to Instagram to post a cute couple photo with their new dog. The "Shadowhunters" actor also shared his own pic with the rescue pup with the caption, "Me and boo!!! Boo who? No boo you!"
Many fans commented that it was great to see Hyland so happy with her new beau after her traumatic experience with ex-boyfriend Matt Prokop.
In 2014, Hyland and Prokop ended their five-year relationship. The actress then filed a restraining order against him, alleging that he verbally and physically abused her when they were still together.
After the break up, he will reportedly send him "emotionally disturbing" texts and voice mails. Prokop even threatened to end his life if Hyland will not take him back. Hyland also claimed that he tried to choke her during one of their arguments.
Months after the split, Hyland started dating her "Vampire Academy" co-star.
According to People, Prokop may still not be over Hyland just yet. The outlet reported that when Hyland and Sherwood got matching tattoos early this year, Prokop took to Twitter and wrote, "Never make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings."
The "High School Musical 3" star added that "it hurts like hell" when you see someone you care about slowly ruin their life. He then added the hashtag, FallenAngel.
