Jennifer Lawrence to Headline Chinese Premiere of 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II'

Actress Jennifer Lawrence plays the lead role of Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games" films.

Jennifer Lawrence, along with actors Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, will grace the Chinese premiere of the much-awaited film, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II," on Nov. 12.

The three will be joined by the film's director, Francis Lawrence, and its producer, Nina Jacobson.

The final installment of the "The Hunger Games" franchise is slated to hit North American and Chinese theaters on Nov. 20.

The popular series is distributed by Lionsgate Film and is based on the widely known novels of the same name penned by Suzanne Collins. The trilogy of novel follows the story of Katniss Everdeen (played by Lawrence), the voice of the oppressed in the fictional, post-apocalyptic nation of Panem.

The first three installments of the "The Hunger Games" franchise have earned international recognition and have set several box-office records in North America.

At the global box office, the series ranks 16th as the highest grossing film franchise of all time with $2.3 billion in earnings.

The last installment is also expected to gain worldwide attention as the anticipation for its release is already fever-high.

The fans were also roused by the sets of teasers and posters published for the second part of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay."

In one poster released by Lionsgate, a close-up of a somber-faced Lawrence is highlighted as it was featured on a plain black background. The enticing material also has what appears to be a red warpaint smeared across the actress's face.

Beneath Lawrence's images were the words "Panem Unite D13 The Revolution Is About All of Us," and the film's release date.
