Lenovo Ideapad 100S price starts at $199.

Lenovo has launched a budget-friendly laptop which is ideal for the upcoming holiday season, designed for students, kids, casual users, and those in need of a secondary laptop.

Ideapad 100S is described as lightweight, small, cheap, and loaded and with Windows 10. It complements a typical dark interior design with a bright red outer shell, the contrast of which is pleasant.

Ideapad 100S is powered by Intel Atom Z3735F 1.33GHz processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage space. It will run under Windows 10. The 11.6-inch display has 1366 x 768 screen resolution. It weighs 2.6lbs and measures 0.8-inches tall when closed. In addition to being lightweight, the Ideapad 100S is thin, measuring in at 0.7-inches in thickness.

The Lenovo Ideapad 100S joins the other laptop makers which gives priority to battery life, boasting long battery (2-cell 30Wh battery) that last for eight hours on a charge. Lenovo said that is offers blazing Internet speeds.

It features HDMI output, an integrated webcam and microphone, a pair of USB ports, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 15GB of OneDrive storage space, a microSD card reader, audio jack, and a year’s subscription to Microsoft Office 365 Personal, according to SlashGear.

It has also a 1MP front-facing webcam and a dual digital microphone. Audio is delivered via a pair of 1watt speakers; the quality is tinny but decent, adequate enough for listening to television shows but perhaps not suitable for most musical tastes.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 100S price starts at $199 and the 14-inch version of the IdeaPad 100S will also be available with a Celeron (Braswell) processor and a more exuberant price of $259, Engadget reported.
