In case you are undecided whether to purchase an iPad Mini 4 or stick to the cheaper iPad Mini 3 and 2, there is more to gain than lose with the purchase of the latest iPad.

According to Forbes, iPad Mini 4 update was the redhead stepchild of Apple Inc.'s September 2015 Event. However, the upgrades Apple gave to the iPad Mini line have much more than just a quick blurb.

It is notable that the iPad Mini 4, 3 & 2 all have the same screen in terms of size (7.9 inches) and resolution (2048 × 1536 pixels), and they can output an image quality of 326 ppi. However, here are six solid reasons why you should consider purchasing the iPad Mini 4 and upgrade from the old models.

1. Display

Apple upgraded the iPad Mini 4 with a fully laminated display, making it the first ever in the iPad line. The fully laminated display has three different layers that are combined to form a better quality screen, particularly in terms of black levels, brightness and color accuracy.

2. Processor

The Cupertino-based tech giant upgraded the inner guts for the iPad Mini 4, improving the processor to an A8 processor chip in addition to the 2GB RAM. Both the iPad Mini 3 and 2 have just 1GB RAM and are powered by A7 processor chip.

While the A7 processor is perfectly fine for daily use, Apple claims that the latest A8 processor chip is 1.3 times faster, and the GPU is 1.6 times faster.

3. Cameras

While iPad Mini 4 has a 1.2MP front facing camera just like the other iPads, it has an 8MG main camera, implying that the user will take better pictures with the Mini 4 using the rear camera.

4. TouchID Sensor

The TouchID sensor seems to be the biggest difference between the iPad Mini 4 and iPad Mini 2 since it is absent in the latter. The addition of the TouchID sensor was the biggest improvement from iPad Mini 2 to the iPad Mini 3.

5. Bluetooth

The iPad Mini 4 has an upgraded Bluetooth, making it 4.2. Although the Bluetooth upgrade is not particularly useful at the moment, it will become increasingly significant in the near future as more accessories adopt the newer version of the Bluetooth.

6. Weight

Apple Inc. decided to make the iPad Mini 4 lighter than its precursor. The current iPad weighs 0.65 pounds against 0.73 pounds of the iPad Mini 2. Furthermore, the Mini 4 is thinner by approximately 1.4 mm. As a result, in case you want to keep your iPad for a longer time, it will be better to switch to the iPad Mini 4.

The manufacturer company has a tradition of facing out old models of their devices access to new software features, and while at the moment there is no real big difference, in the future there will be.

According to Apple's official website, the iPad Mini 4 and 2 are both available for purchase. It is worth going for the 64GB iPad than the 16GB iPad Mini 4.
