Chris Hemsworth takes a close look at a figure of himself in character as Thor at the premiere of Marvel's 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

Annastacia Palaszczuk, the Premier of Queensland, has recently announced that the third movie of the "Thor' franchise will be filmed on the Gold Coast and will definitely boost the Queensland economy.

She also said that "Thor: Ragnarok" will be employing more than 750 Queensland crew and will be bringing in more than $100 million. The announcement was made at Village Roadshow Studios Oxenford, Gold Coast.

The announcement of Premier Palaszczuk actually followed the announcement by the Foreign Minister, Julie Bishop, that 'Thor: Ragnarok' and 'Alien: Paradise Lost,' will be coming to Australia, as reported by ABC Austrialia.

"I am thrilled that Thor will be filming exclusively in our state," Ms. Bishop said. "As our economy diversifies, Queensland is demonstrating its strength as a lead destination for filmmakers both internationally and locally, and my Government is doing what it can to ensure that Queensland remains a global hub for the screen sector," she added.

Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate stated on Facebook that the said film projects was a big victory for the local film and TV industry. "We are a step closer to making our local film and TV industry a permanent feature of our city's economy," the mayor said.

On a side note, Johnny Depp encountered some issues with the customs, during the filming of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales." Depp's pets came into Australia illegally. However, officials believe that Chris Hemsworth will not have any problems with the customs since he is from Australia.

Pre-production for "Thor Ragnarok" will start early in 2016 and filming will begin by June. It will be released on November 2017.
