Joining the rest of the world for a one-week global launch, Chinese gamers are now looking forward to the mainland release of the fifth expansion set of the popular subscription-based multiplayer online role-playing game "World of Warcraft" this month.

Premier game developer and publisher Blizzard Entertainment, together with online service provider NetEase, Inc., announced the take-off of "World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor" on Nov. 18.

As a celebration for the upcoming launch, both companies will be hosting a live event on Nov. 16. "World of Warcraft" game developers are expected to have a discussion panel along with other feature videos during the said event. Players, meanwhile, will get to experience the new expansion via a live web broadcast. Prizes like prepaid point cards are also at stake.

Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime said that the company is thrilled to take "Warlords of Draenor" to China.

"We've packed this expansion with a ton of new content for players to enjoy, whether they're World of Warcraft veterans or totally new to Azeroth," Morhaime said in a press release.

"Warlords of Draenor" will feature additional content for "World of Warcraft" players to enjoy. The expansion allows Azeroth's displaced heroes to course across Draenor; to build and manage Garrison, a customizable fortress that grows with them on their journey; and fight the opponents for the reign of Ashran, among other features.

"World of Warcraft" players can prepare for the upcoming battle up to Dec. 17 by playing their character on their Battle.net account up to level 90.

According to the company, the offer will be available only to players with at least one level 60 character in the same account.
