Actor Henry Cavill attends the 'Man of Steel' press conference at the Grand Hyatt on August 22, 2013 in Tokyo, Japan.

A year ago, David Goyer the screenwriter for "Man of Steel" was rumored to be developing the TV series, which is the film's prequel, set completely in Superman's Krypton home world. This was confirmed later on by Syfy in December, although no updates about this project have ever been revealed since then.

Goyer shared with Collider that in the aspects of production value, one has to pick his moments, that if they finally decide to do the show, it is definite that there are going to be a few big moments. While he explained that it won't be the type of wall to wall visual effects at every moment, he assured that this film will be spectacle, as they will be digging more into the culture and characters as well.

He further revealed to the Comic Book the time the series is taking place, including where they are searching for inspiration. The series takes place 200 years before Man Of Steel and will be dealing with Krypton like any historical item by turning to the past cultures to see what those would appear like. Goyer talked about scratching a surface in the movie, which he believes was the attraction. "As a kid, I have always been fascinated with those books on Krypton and they have covered only in a small bit. This time, we are going to know more about the world's politics, the art, the culture and all the various leagues," Goyer said.

If it ever lands on small screen, "Krypton" will join the increasing list of DC Entertainment shows like "Legends of Tomorrow," CW's "Arrow" and "The Flash," FOX's "Gotham," CBS' forthcoming "Supergirl" and in-development" Powerless" and "Titans" at TNT on NBC.
