Twitter exec Rishi Jaitly has confirmed that the recent AlDub hashtag, ALDubEBTamangPanahon, has the record for the most number of tweets for an event.

According to GMA Network, Twitter's Vice President of Media, Asia Pacific and Middle East congratulated the Philippine network for making history by setting a global Twitter record.

"The ALDub phenomenon continues to make history with a new global Twitter record by taking a love story that's captured the imagination of people all over the world and combining it with the Tamang Panahon charity concert broadcasted live worldwide," Jaitly said.

Jaitly has previously called the loveteam a "global phenomenon." The incessantly trending hashtags has gotten even international celebrities Barbie Hsu, Bryan White and Dawin curious about the duo.
