An AFC South Week 8 matchup between the Tennessee Titans (1-5) and Houston Texans (2-5) are scheduled on Sunday, November 1st, at the NRG Stadium as both struggling teams will try to improve their win-loss slates in the 2015 NFL season.
The Titans are currently on a five-game losing skid that is made worse by an injury to its rookie starting quarterback Marcus Mariota suffered in the team's 38-10 Week 6 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Mariota sprained the MCL of his left knee after receiving a tackle from Dolphins defensive end Olivier Vernon in the first half of their match.
Zach Mettenberger filled-in for the second overall pick of this year's draft, but the 24-year-old sophomore played poorly in their ugly 10-7 loss to the Falcons last Sunday, via Yahoo Sports.
Meanwhile, the Texans also lost badly against the Dolphins, 44-26, last Sunday at the Sun Life Stadium, as per the Washington Post.
Houston was clouded by internal turmoil between head coach Bill O'Brien and backup quarterback Ryan Mallett due to the latter's tardiness and unprofessional attitude, resulting in Mallett being released by the team on Tuesday.
The Texans will try to bounce back from the disappointing loss on their home field this week versus the weakened Titans and it looks like O'Brien's boys will prevail.
Prediction: Texans win, 28-24.
