"Arrow" fans were shocked when rumors started circulating that Felicity Smoak could be the daughter of the villainous character Damien Dahrk.
At that time, fans couldn't believe that it's possible for Felicity to be related to Damien, and even felt that this storyline just came out of nowhere.
In an interview with Comicbook, executive producer Wendy Mericle shut down rumors that the two characters could be related on the hit The CW series.
"That's a great idea, such a great teaser, I almost don't want to spoil it. Unfortunately, no. Damien Dahrk is not her father. That's a great theory. Who knows! You guys might have just arc-ed out the rest of the season for us right then and there! No, that's a great idea, but no, he is not," she said.
Meanwhile, Mericle revealed that Felicity's father will be introduced in the upcoming episodes or seasons of "Arrow." She added that Felicity's father will also be a villainous character.
"We are going to bring her father in. He will definitely be evil. He's going to be up to no good, but it's not going to be Damien, unfortunately. Great idea though. Huge props to everyone there. That's amazing," she said.
In other news, fans of "Arrow" are also curious as to what will happen to Sara Lance now that she has been revived.
Previous episodes saw that Sara is no longer the sweet and kind-hearted character that she once was. Now, Sara has turned into a villain who seems to be ready to kill her own sister.
"Arrow" season 4 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
