New 'Arrows' season 4 details will have more information about who Damien Darhk really is and a new promo trailer featuring new villain Double Down and Sara Lance back from the dead in the show.
New cast member Neil McDonough shared some of his thoughts and experience in playing season 4's "big bad" Damien Darhk. McDonough told E! News that the audiences will find out the reason why Damien Darhk is doing these things and hinted that the man behind "The Ghost" does have a soul once. He added that his reasons will be revealed in flashbacks during "Arrow" season 4.
Damien Darhk in the DC comics was relatively a minor villain who have fought the Teen Titans in the New 52 era. The showrunners of "Arrow" have taken the character in a new establishment making him a dark and twisted version with mystical powers and like his comic book counter part is the head of H.I.V.E.
Executive producer Wendy Mericle described Damien as "pure evil" and unlike past villains like "Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) or Slade Wilson/Deathstroke (Manu Bennet) who have their reasons for being villains, McDonough described Darhk as a pure comic book evil and compares him to Jack Nicholson's Joker and Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor.
In other news, a new promo trailer for "Arrow" season 4 has been revealed online as the video will feature a new villain Double Down (J.R. Bourne), ComicBook reported.
Double Down is the show is a metahuman employed by Damien Darhk, who uses throwing cards to kill his targets. The cards came from his tattoos which allows him to peel off his skin and they are razor edge. He fights off Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) as his real target is Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) and Michael "Curtis" Holt (Echo Kellum).
Episode 3 will also feature Laurel Lance/Black Canary (Kati Cassidy) and Thea Queen/Speedy (Willa Holland) go the League of Assassin's to bring Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) back from the dead via Lazarus. Several photos show that Sara was indeed restored but with dire consequences as she becomes more violent and blood thirsty showing the same side effects as Thea online more unhinge.
"Arrow" season 4 airs on Wednesdays at 8/7pm central on the CW Network.
