Motorola Droid Turbo 2, Droid Maxx 2 Now Available in US Via Verizon

The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 will be available in the US via Verizon.

As previously announced, the Droid Turbo 2 and the Droid Maxx 2 will be available for purchase starting Oct. 29. The two devices will be sold under the Verizon flag.

Of the two smartphones, the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 is the most anticipated. It is the successor of the Droid Turbo which was released in 2014 and will be the official flagship device of Motorola.

According to Phone Arena, the Droid Turbo 2 will be the first device under the Droid banner to be customized via Moto Maker. The company claim that there are over 1,000 design combinations to choose from. This allow users to fully customize the handset in order to fit their style or mood.

The Droid Turbo 2 is available in two storage variants; 32GB and 64GB. The 32GB model costs $624 off contract while the 64GB model costs $720 off contract. Other customization like the leather back option can shoot the price of the phone up to $744.

The Motorola Droid Turbo 2 boasts a 5.4-inch Quad HD display that has ShatterShield technology and backed by a four-year warranty. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with 3GB of internal memory. It has a 21-megapixel rear facing camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. According to Android Central, the device also has a 3760mAh battery pack and supports Qi wireless charging and Turbo Charging technology.

On the other hand, the Motorola Droid Maxx 2 is Verizon's version of the Motorola Moto X Play which is already available in regions outside of the United States since August. The Droid Maxx 2 can be purchased off contract for $384.
