Becky Gomez is the Yellow Ranger in Dean Israelite's "Power Rangers."

Dean Israelite's upcoming hero film "Power Rangers" has found its Yellow Ranger.

Lionsgate has cast singer-songwriter Becky Gomez as the Yellow Ranger, according to Comic Book Resources. It was revealed that Gomez would don the yellow Power Ranger suit in a photo shared on "Power Ranger's" official Instagram account. Gomez also tweeted on her official Twitter account on Oct. 31 that her favorite color was yellow and it was like it was meant to be, indicating her role.

Gomez is set to join "The Shannon Entropy" actor Ludi Lin, the Black Ranger; "The Martian" actress Naomi Scott, the Pink Ranger; "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl" actor R.J. Cyler, the Blue Ranger; and  "Betrand the Terrible" actor Dacre Montgomery, the Red Ranger.

According to Comic Book, Gomez completes the "Power Rangers" line-up; however, there are still rumors saying that a Green Ranger might be cast for Israelite's film.

Better known by her stage name Becky G, Gomez integrates pop-rap and Latin pop music in her song pieces. Her works include "Lovin' So Hard," "Can't Stop Dancin'," and "Shower," among others. She is also known for her acting roles in the musical series "Play It Forward" and Lee Daniels and Danny Strong's musical drama "Empire."

Meanwhile, the 1993 "Might Morphin Power Rangers" followed a group of teenagers who can morph into superheroes who wear colored costumes tasked to fight monsters that threaten Earth, along with the giant robots called Zords. The Zords can be summoned to battle colossal aliens and they can also assemble themselves into a single fighting robot.

Aside from Israelite as the film's director, "X-Men: First Class" writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz are on board to pen the script of the upcoming "Power Rangers."

Israelite's new "Power Rangers" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Jan. 13, 2017.
