Season 2 of "Rick & Morty" ended on a high note as fans wait for Season 3 which has been confirmed. Co-creator Dan Harmon talked "Rick & Morty" Season 3 and his favourite character from the show who is Beth Smith.
In an interview with HitFlix, Harmon says that Beth Smith is the character that is behind Rick and his grandson's weird space adventures.
"I was like, "Why would that be the case? Why would any parents let this crazy man disappear through clearly dangerous portals with their son?" And after talking about it with Justin for a while, I realised the most important thing about that show for me, which is that Rick left at one point in Beth's childhood and Beth blamed her mother for Rick's absence," Harmon says to HitFlix.
Movie Pilot noted that it is clear that Beth is unhappy that his father is leaving her again in "Rick & Morty" Season 2 finale instalment.
Meanwhile, Harmon stated that they would re-explore some of the characters and plotlines in "Rick & Morty" Season 3.
"I rewatched both seasons a couple nights ago, and now I'm excited about revisiting stuff in season three because I was so phobic about revisiting stuff in season two... We've already proven that the show isn't going to start eating itself, and that will feel even more limitless if we go back to a couple things that we really enjoyed doing," Harmon states during the interview.
Stay tuned for more "Rick & Morty" Season 3 updates, spoilers and news.
