"Jurassic World" actor B.D. Wong has joined the growing cast ensemble of Fox's "Gotham."

According to USA Today, Wong is set to play the role of Dr. Hugo Strange, a brilliant psychiatrist and professor hired to run Arkham Asylum. The publication also mentioned that the character was known to conduct experiments on inmates and testing extraordinary abilities to produce superhuman beings for Indian Hill.

Initially introduced in "Detective Comics" #36 in the 1940s, Strange stands as one of the Dark Knights first recurring adversaries.

The previous episodes of "Gotham," the secret Wayne Enterprises black-ops program has been introduced. It served an underground place where the badly burned Firefly was brought after being caught by the GCPD. Wong as Strange would be revealed as the greater mind behind the program, also known as Indian Hill, as per Comic Book Resources.

Wong previously reprised his role as the geneticist Dr. Henry Wu in Colin Trevorrow's blockbuster "Jurassic World." The actor portrayed the dark side of the character in the pool of events set 22 years from the events in Steven Spielberg's "Jurassic Park." "Gotham" Season 2 Episode 7, entitled "Rise of the Villains: Mommy's Little Monster" airs on Nov. 2. "Jurassic World 2" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on June 22, 2018.
