The freemium mobile MMO strategy video game "Clash of Clans" was developed and published by video game company Supercell based in Helsinki, Finland.

Supercell has created an addictive gameplay that is the Clash of Clans and millions are hooked on what looked like as a simple COC game process that includes base build and fortification, defending the same fortress and raiding other clans. Then it's a full circle.

But gamers like Tyrael are so into the game that more than half of his waking hours are devoted to COC. Essentially, Tyrael lives around the game and still keep up with his other more important concerns - reporting for his firefighting job and getting a degree, according to Business Insider.

But judging on the amount of time that Tyrael pours in to Clash of Clans, it's safe to say that the Supercell game of his list. And it's paying off - Tyrael is among the top COC players in the world and he is not burning cash to earn and secure his envied slot. He is in fact earns good money while living with Clashers and here's how he is doing it:

16 hours of COC play per day

There were reports that a Saudi man spent a whopping $1 million on the Clash of Clans in order to climb to the uppermost level of the game and stay there. Now being on top means amassing gems that serve as the COC currency and use them up to purchase all available in-game upgrades.

But unlike the Saudi player, Tyrael is not digging deep inside his pocket. His COC account is fully upgraded and the cash that he spent only amounted to over $50. What he has is time and from the 24 hours available to a person, Tyrael reserves two-thirds of the whole lot.

"I ended up having to stay online 16 hours a day so I didn't get attacked ... That became something I did on a daily routine," the COC fan told Business Insider.

Planning and scheduling

Sixteen hour of being tuned in on COC doesn't mean that Tyrael is missing out on the things that require doing, work and study for instance. The secret, the gamer said, is time management. It helps that the Clash of Clans is a mobile game so playing can be anywhere where there is an online access.

"In some cases, I could play while doing something else. I would look at the next few days, and figure out where I could play for a few hours. I actually scheduled my sleep around it sometimes," Tyrael said.

Solid income stream

Tyrael admitted that he has been approached and offered thousands of dollars for the sale of his COC account. As Supercell prohibits this, the gamer turns to legitimate ways to earn money off the Clash of Clans - livestreaming his game exploits.

Tyrael maintains a YouTube channel where his Clash of Clans adventures are found. The clips, Business Insider said, are generating revenues of over $600 per a clip that has breached the 100,000-views mark. Not bad for a Clasher who is on top of his game and earns some bucks in the process.
